Puan Maharani's Gastronomi Visit: Tempted Sambal Terung Mangut For Ganjar Pranaowo At Anne Avantie Restaurant
The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, after overseeing the Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine Second Dose (IPV 2) immunization program in Klaten and Sukoharjo, continued her working visit in Central Java. Together with the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, Puan arrived in Semarang on Wednesday evening June 21 for dinner at the D'Kambodja Restaurant owned by Designer Anne Avantie.
In a stunning atmosphere, Puan Maharani was amazed by the beauty of the D'Kambodja Meeting House, a cultural heritage building. This restaurant offers a traditional atmosphere with a typical Javanese dish.
"Ojo pedhot oyot, don't be removed from our roots or origins. Preserve cultural heritage by revitalizing it into a unique dining area like D'Kambodja is a very good step to maintain our cultural roots," said Puan.
While traveling with restaurant owners, Puan did not only see various rooms at the D'Kambodja Meeting House. He even entered the kitchen and did not hesitate to take a whistle.
Apparently, Puan Maharani had the initiative to make a bungut chili sauce and serve it to Ganjar and other groups. With great enthusiasm, she collects chili sauce mixed with smokey and terung fish, a typical Semarang dish.
It looks natural like a mother who provides food for her family, Puan proudly serves her dish to Ganjar. "I made this myself, it's special for Pak Ganjar to be even more excited," said Puan.
Not only Ganjar Pranowo, Puan's dish was also served to the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi, and other entourage. Ganjar praised the dish while teasing Puan.
"This is Mbak Puan's delicious Mangut Semarang sambel. It feels more than power from genggym, you know," said Ganjar.
The next day, Puan is scheduled to attend the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) at the Semarang State University (UNNES) regarding the implementation of a Consortium collaboration with Pukyong National University (PKNU) Korea. Puan had previously witnessed the signing of the MoU for the cooperation when she received the Honoris Causa Doctoral degree from PKNU.
On the agenda of today's working visit, Puan Maharani launched the IPV 2 immunization program in Klaten.
