Golkar Deputy Erwin Aksa Withdraws Report, Bareskrim SP3 Process
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is processing the termination of the handling of the alleged defamation case reported by the Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Golkar Party, Erwin Aksa against the Chairman of the PPP Advisory Council, Muhammad Romahurmuziy alias Rommy.
The process of stopping the handling of the case was carried out after Erwin Aksa decided to withdraw his report on the grounds that it had reconciled.
"The request for revocation from EA has been submitted. Currently, it is still being investigated," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Nurul Azizah, to reporters, Wednesday, June 21.
If later the case is decided to be stopped, the investigative team will issue a notification letter for termination of investigation (SP3).
So, he said, there would be no more legal issues between Erwin Aksa and Rommy regarding defamation. "We are waiting for official information from the Criminal Investigation Unit for SP3," he added.
Erwin Aksa, withdrew the report on the alleged defamation case with the reported Rommy. The reason is because there was an agreement to resolve it amicably.
"It's finished amicably," said Erwin.
Originally, Erwin Aksa reported Rommy on suspicion of defamation to the Criminal Investigation Unit on May 8. The report was registered with the number LP/B/90/V/2023/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri.
The reason behind the report was because Rommy was said to have accused him of being a fraud about a blank check worth Rp35 billion.
In the report, Rommy is suspected of violating Article 45 (3) in conjunction with Article 27 (3) of Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and/or Article 310 (1) of the Criminal Code and/or 311 (1) of the Criminal Code.
