As Of June 2023, The Directorate General Of Construction Development Of The Ministry Of PUPR Signs 22 Special Packages For IKN Development

The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Construction of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that 22 packages of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago had been contracted, until June 16, 2023.

"For IKN, there are 88 packages with a total value of Rp. 8.46 trillion, of which 26 packages have not been tendered, then there are 40 packages that are in the tender process. Meanwhile, for those who have contracted there are 22 packages with a total value of Rp. 2.68 trillion out of a total of 88 packages," said Director General of Construction. Ministry of PUPR Rachman Arief Dienaputra in a Hearing Meeting at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 20.

Rachman said that most of the contracted IKN development packages were from the water resources, marga development, creating works and housing sectors.

Meanwhile, for 40 IKN packages with a total value of IDR 1.64 trillion, which is in the tender process, consisting of 34 packages that have not been determined and 6 packages have been determined to be winners. "The total package 88 for IKN is still temporary and it could be an increase in the future," he said.

Regarding sustainable construction materials, the Directorate General of Construction seeks to ensure that IKN development uses 100 percent environmentally friendly materials.

"There are several efforts by us to ensure that business entities use environmentally friendly materials," said Rachman.

Some environmentally friendly construction materials will be used, such as Portland Cement Non Ordinary cement (Non OPC), precast concrete, and green construction materials. "Hopefully like that. Later, we will try to keep everything sustainable," he said.

IKN's vision as a smart forest city is a guide in the development of the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara.

The development of the Nusantara IKN infrastructure is carried out in stages by carrying out and still paying attention to environmental aspects. In the early stages of 2022-2024, the infrastructure development that is the priority of the Ministry of PUPR is the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
