3 Positive Things Shin Tae-Yong Gets After The Indonesian Against Argentina National Team Match
JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, admitted that the match against Argentina on FIFA Matchday, Monday, June 19, resulted in many lessons. The coach said there were three positive things that were obtained after the match.
In the match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) last night, the national team had not managed to win over the 2022 World Cup winner. Gawang Ernando Ari was twice burglarized by Albiceleste through the execution of Leandro Paredes in the 38th minute and Cristian Romero in the 55th minute.
Despite losing to Albiceleste, Shin Tae-yong did not look gloomy. He said his team had shown impressive performance, with maximum hard work.
After the match, Shin Tae-yong said there were three positive things that players got from this match. First, the placement of the player position is getting closer to his wish.
"For the positioning of players, we are starting to adapt and I believe that for sure we can show our best. This can be a high confidence for players ahead of future events," said Shin Tae-yong during a press conference.
Furthermore, the South Korean coach also discussed the defense of the team which he considered to be more solid. During the match, the coach deliberately installed five defenders to reduce Albiceleste's attack.
In addition, communication and coordination of players when appearing he said went well.
"Pressing from Argentina is also very good and they can also read the pattern of play very well, we are in different classes about that,"
"But this match is very good. We only conceded two goals and only gave the opponent a few chances," said Shin.
The third thing that the coach has learned as well as being the most important of this match is the mentality of his players. Even though the Indonesian national team is ranked 149th in FIFA, Shin is facing the number one team, his players show a mentality that is not much different.
"Indeed, Argentina's game is very good, but mentally the Indonesian players are not afraid and no less distant," Shin said with a happy smile.
"So with experience like this I hope this will be a motivation for players to develop, and I want to convey to the players thank you for working hard," concluded the coach.
