Allegations Of Billions Of Extortion At The KPK Detention Center Are Now Being Investigated
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of illegal levies at detention centers. It is certain that the KPK will not hesitate to investigate, whoever is involved will be brushed off.
"KPK will not indiscriminately take law enforcement efforts. Currently, the status is being investigated," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters, Monday, January 19.
Asep admitted that he was immediately ordered by the KPK leadership to carry out an investigation after hearing a report from the supervisory board. He said this order had been mentioned since one month ago.
He believes this investigation will be completed. Moreover, the anti-corruption commission has not tolerated any of its employees who have been caught in action.
"So no KPK employees who commit criminal acts of corruption are allowed to do so," said Asep.
"We will act according to his actions," he continued.
