Members Of Brimob Riau Police Confess On Social Media Asked To Oversee Deposit Money, Kompolnas Considers It Wrong

JAKARTA - Member of the National Police Commission, Poengky Indarty, responded to the viral news of members of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade who poured their hearts out on social media as a wrong act that tarnished the good name of the National Police institution.

"If you see that the person concerned has confided in social media, it is a wrong act," said Poengky as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 5.

Poengky explained that a member of the National Police has his own rules in conveying his actions.

"His act of venting on social media has gone viral and tarnished the good name of the institution," he said.

The commissioner from the community element emphasized that the police must be ready to be placed anywhere throughout Indonesia. According to him, Bripka Andry's attitude vented because it was transferred as a form of disobedience.

"It is very strange if the person concerned refuses to be transferred to Pekanbaru. This is disobedience," he said.

Not only that, but Poengky also criticized the pretext that Bripka Andry objected to being transferred for caring for his mother who was being treated at Rokan Hilir. "Why does he have the heart to use his sick mother as a shield by taking his mother to Pekanbaru? As a result, his mother fell ill in Pekanbaru," said Poengky.

Then, regarding the deposit given by Bripka Andry to his superiors through his personal account, according to Poengky, it was actually an unlawful act that Bripka Andry should have avoided, not instead following the order.

"If what is explained is related to serving Danyon by sending money to Danyon's personal account is true, the person concerned should have known that his actions were against the law," he said.

"The person concerned should reject orders from superiors that are against the law and report to the highest superiors. Instead of obeying Danyon's orders," continued Poengky.

In addition, continued Poengky, information from the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police who conveyed that Bripka Andry had taken desertion actions. So that the Propam Sector must be examined to account for his actions.

He added that Kompolnas encouraged the examination of Danyon from Bripka Andry, who was accused of receiving up to Rp650 million.

"If the allegations are true, then the Danyon must be prosecuted. We hope that this case will be followed up with a professional and transparent examination," he said.

As previously reported, the Riau Police Propam is currently investigating the remarks of members of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade Bripka Andry on social media because they do not accept the transfer of demotion, including related to money deposits to their superiors.

Previously, social media was shocked by the story of a Brimob personnel from the Riau Police who claimed to have been transferred for no apparent reason.

In addition, a member of the police who claimed to be named Bripka Andry Wirawan and served in Battalion B Pioneer of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade Unit in Manggala Body Rokan Hilir (Rohil) was also asked to make money by his superior.
