482 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jabotabek During Long Weekend

PT Jasa Marga noted that 482,363 vehicles left the Jabotabek area during this week's long holiday period.

Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga Lisye Octaviana said the figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) of the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 13.9 percent compared to normal traffic," said Lisye in a written statement, Saturday, June 3.

Lisye said, for the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions, namely with a majority of 234,032 vehicles or 48.5 percent heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 129,343 vehicles or 26.8 percent heading West (Merak), and 118,988 vehicles or 24.7 percent heading South (Puncak).

The details of the traffic distribution are as follows, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 105,996 vehicles, an increase of 23.3 percent from normal traffic.

Vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 128,036 vehicles, an increase of 40.9 percent from normal traffic.

"The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 234,032 vehicles, an increase of 32.3 percent from normal traffic," said Lisye.

Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 129,343 vehicles or 10.5 percent lower than normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 118,988 vehicles, an increase of 16.5 percent from normal traffic.
