David Coverdale Wants To Collaborate Again With Jimmy Page
JAKARTA - In the second part of the video series "QT With DC", Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale was asked about the possibility of a follow-up to his collaboration with Jimmy Page.
Coverdale/Page collaboration albums were recorded in several studios on both sides of the Atlantic during the 1991-92 winter before being released in March 1993.
"As Sean Connery said about James Bond: 'Never say never' (Never say never),'" said Coverdale.
"I don't know. I appreciate the time I worked with Jimmy. I think we got the best of each other at a certain time in our lives. And that's the goal of doing that. I'm there for Jimmy if he needs me for anything, because I wish him there for me... But I'm not sure if that will happen. But I'm wide open.
Mundur ke November 2021, Coverdale membahas kemungkinan penerbitan ulang album sellitled Coverdale/Page dalam sebuah wawancara dengan 107.7 The Bone's "Lamont & Tonelli"
"I'm really excited. Jimmy and I are working very creatively, as you can hear, and we have four or five more songs that haven't been mixed. And I said, 'Jimmy, I have all these other ideas.' Let's make Coverdale Page '2' or make a double album', "the Coverdale story.
"And unfortunately, his manager at that time persuaded him out, which was annoying. However, some of the songs I have to dedicate to Jimmy are on the album Restless Heart [David Coverdale & Whitesnake 1997] - two of them are Take Me Back Again and Woman Trouble Blues.
"It was originally an idea for Jimmy and me, had we made a second album. But in 2023, it was a 30-year anniversary of the album, so look for something special. It's going to be fun."
