Here's How The Ministry Of Industry Encourages The Ceramic Industry To Implement SNI
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through the Standardization and Industrial Services Agency (BSKJI) has held an Industrial Business Meeting 2023 in Bogor, on Tuesday, May 30.
The event has been held by the Center for Standardization and Services for the Non-metalical Ceramic and Mineral Industry (BBSPJIKMN).
This is done to continue to support the strengthening of the development of an independent and sovereign national industrial structure, global competitiveness, and based on innovation and technology, which is in line with efforts to make Indonesia a strong industrial country.
"This annual routine activity aims to provide space, time, insight and information to industry and public players regarding the development of government regulations related to the business world," said Secretary of the Standardization and Industrial Services Agency (BSKJI) of the Ministry of Industry E. Ratna Utarianingrum in a written statement, Wednesday, May 31.
Ratna said, in addition to introducing public service information models and systems (BBSPJIKMN), industrial meeting activities were also used to further intensify the use of domestic products.
"For this reason, we focus on efforts to support industrial competitiveness through industrial standardization infrastructure, as well as the use of industrial resources through the use of modern technology," he said.
Dalam kesempatan industri itu, salah satu pembahasannya mengenai peran industri ceramic dan mineral non-metal dalam pembangunan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
"Of course this opportunity is to fill in industrial products that have been certified to meet the quality of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI)," said Ratna.
In line with Ratna, Head of BBSPIJKM Azhar Fitri said efforts to advance the national ceramic industry need to continue to be carried out by the government by seeking a special strategy, namely through the implementation of mandatory SNI for ceramic products, glass and other non-metal excavation materials, TKDN certification, and industrial human resources development.
"For the national ceramic industry, in addition to increasing utilization, efforts are also needed in innovation in its products that are in accordance with the needs and purchasing power of consumers at home and abroad, so that sales will increase," he added.
In the BBSPJIKMN Industrial Business Meeting in Bogor, an MoU was also signed between BBSPJIKMN and a number of industry players, including PT Cipta Mortar Utama and PT Lucky Indah Keramik.
