Police Arrest Gang Of Minimarket Specialist Robbers, One Perpetrator Shot Dead
Polda Metro Jaya arrested a gang of minimarket specialist robbers who often act in the Jakarta area. During the arrest process, a perpetrator was shot dead.
"For the perpetrators, there are 2 people. We have taken firm action against one perpetrator in a measured manner," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP
The perpetrator who was shot dead had the initials SS (33). He is the captain as well as a planner and executor using a firearm (senpi) in every of his robbery acts. The other is J (25). He acts as a jockey.
The arrests of the two were based on several police reports (LP) at the Polsek level.
Minimarkets that have been targeted for their actions include the Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, to Jatiasih, Bekasi.
"This perpetrator took action at 9 crime scenes, all of which were Alfamart using weapons and firearms," he said.
"Always eyeing Alfamart stores because many Alfamart stores operate 24 hours and they also sometimes target or commit this crime in Alfamart stores during 2 to 4 am hours," continued Yudho.

Meanwhile, Kanit 2 Sub-Directorate of Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Maulana Mukarom said this gang was categorized as cross-provincial. Because, they are included in the Lampung gang.

"Perpetrators cross-provincial. Why cross-province? So before we secured them, these two perpetrators had mapped alphamart in the Cimahi and Purwakarta areas," said Maulana.
During the arrest, a number of pieces of evidence were also confiscated. Among them are a machete, a homemade firearm, helmet and online motorcycle taxi jacket, two pairs of shoes, 3 cellphones, and two wallets.
In this case, those who are recidivists are charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
