Collaborating With Erwin Gutawa, Bulgarian Ambassador Introduces Indonesia Through Harmonature Concert
JAKARTA - Harmonature Concert: Harmonizing the Nature of the Archipelago will be an unforgettable offering to celebrate the friendship and wealth of Indonesian and Bulgarian cultural heritage. The event will take place on June 8, 2023, starting at 21.00 p.m., at Plovdiv's Anscient Theater, which is about 90 minutes from Sofia City, Bulgaria.
Harmonature is the harmonization of the equitability of natural relations with music, offering a stunning combination of traditional and contemporary Indonesian music. The theme of Harmonizing the Nature of the Archipelago, the harmonization of the archipelago, was chosen to carry out the focus of the Indonesian Government's program in promoting the archipelago, as a sustainable forest city, to the international community.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Bulgaria Iwan Bogananta said the Harmonature music concert initiated by the Indonesian Embassy in Sofia was an important role as an extension of the Indonesian Government in in introducing Nusantara and attracting foreign investors. Iwan Bogananta initiated Harmonature in 2021. Together with the entire Indonesian Embassy team Sofia, he prepared in detail for almost a year to provide the best experience for visitors.
Harmonature has three main goals, first, to promote and raise awareness about Indonesian culture and the archipelago, to the people of Bulgaria. At the same time, introducing and promoting Bulgaria, especially Plovdiv as a cultural city, to the people of Indonesia.
Second, by increasing people-to-people contact, people's communication per person, the concert aims to deepen the cultural understanding between Indonesians and Bulgarians. This will encourage tourism and economic relations between the two countries.
Finally, Harmonature serves as a forum to facilitate business meetings, creating market access opportunities from both Indonesia and Bulgaria.
The Ethnocestra group led by Indonesia's well-known music director, Erwin Gutawa, together with other musicians will bring ethnic and traditional music that reflects Indonesian culture. Traditional melodies combined with contemporary music, viewers at the Plovdiv Anient Theater will be brought to the charming landscape of Indonesia.
The combination of modern and ancient history will also be seen in the projection of 3D mapping by Jay Subiakto and Taba Sanchabakhtiar. The projection of the pillars and walls of the Anient Theater will showcase Indonesia's nature and highlight the archipelago.
The visual presentation and the entire event packaged by one of Indonesia's best event directors, Inet Leimena, will feature Indonesian cultural arts combined with contemporary arts and Bulgarian culture.
The Harmonature concert will feature Indonesian singers such as Sandhy Sondoro and Gabriel Harvianto, as well as the appearance of Bulgarian singer Petya Paneva who will have a duet with Indonesian singer Woro Mustiko.
The concert will also feature a stunning performance from Pesona Mawar Nusantara, the only Indonesian dance group in Bulgaria, and Bidadari, the Indonesian dance group from Serbia. Harmonature Concert is open to the public, free of ticket fees. The event is expected to attract spectators of 3,000 to 4,000 people, and will also be broadcast live on the Indonesian Embassy's YouTube in Bulgaria with an Indonesiainsofia account.
