Police Intervene To Trace Identity Of Man's Body Floating In The Mataram Flats River
The Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara traced the identity of the body of a man found floating at the floodgates in the Pesongoran River area. Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama said that his party was tracing this matter by asking for support and assistance from the community. "If there is information from the public who feels they have lost their relatives in the past two or three days, it can be conveyed to us. Maybe later the identity of the victim will be revealed from there," Yogi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23. For now, it is clear that the unidentified man's body was found by a river janitor on Tuesday (22/5) that morning has now been evacuated to the morgue of Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital. He also assured that the police had submitted an application to the hospital to conduct an examination of the condition of the corpse, either through an external or internal post-mortem process. "So, to find out the cause of the victim's death, later an autopsy will answer," he said. Furthermore, Yogi said that his party is now completing the administrative need for an investigation of the discovery of such an unidentified corpse. "Like the making of the report that we will later couple with the examination of witnesses and the deepening of the results of the crime scene (the crime scene)," he said. Head of the Mataram Police, Kompol Tauhid, previously said that the witness who found the man's body was named Lalu Burhanuddin, a river janitor.
