Water From Your Eyes Ready To Launch First Album Under Payung Matador Records

JAKARTA - Beggars Indonesia and Matador Records are proud to introduce their newest roster, Water From Your Eyes.

Continuing the first two songs that received positive appreciation from Pitchfork and BNT, namely Barley and True Life, the duo from Brooklyn consisting of Rachel Brown and Nate Amos released their newest song, 14.

From the complete diametric turn of the experi-rock on the previous track, 14 more expressed an extraordinary emotional depth, as if inviting to a strange but captivating universe.

This song comes with an elegant string arrangement combined with a heartbreaking vocals of the vocalist, Rachel.

"I was heavily inspired by Meshes of the Afternoon, Last Year in Marienbad, and Spirited Away, as well as the painting The Triumph of Baccus by Diego Vel Maritzquez, Nate's favorite," Brown said in his statement.

"I want to capture feelings haunted by a person's inner turmoil and the act of releasing the conflict".

The American indie pop duo will release their debut album under the umbrella of Matador Records on May 26 entitled Everyone's Crushed.

Overall, this is their fifth album after Long Days No Dream (2017), All A Dance (2018),jangelse's Song (2019), and Structure (2021).
