JAKARTA - After several presidential candidates emerged, President Jokowi gave messages and directions on who could be proposed as vice presidential candidates. According to Major General Purn Saurip Kadi, this is very clear.

Indonesia must be led by people who are brave, work for the people, understand technology, anti-corruption, and are loyal to safeguarding democracy.

"I think the signal given by the president is very clear. The four Vice Presidential Candidates are qualified national figures in terms of their respective capacities and integrity," said Saurip Kadi.

When asked about his opinion, one of the Vice Presidential Candidates proposed was the former TNI Commander, former Army Chief of Staff of the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid, who explained that General Moeldoko had proven his courage in leading both while serving in the military, as well as in the current government. "As a former TNI Commander, Mr. Moeldoko really understands geopolitical and geostrategic things," he added, making it easier for the elected president to work," he said.
