Ganjar Glad Central Java MSMEs Upgraded, Products Worth IDR 7.2 Billion Exported To The World Market
BANYUMAS - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, has again released the export of Central Java MSME products to various world markets, Friday, May 12. A total of 7 containers containing various MSME products worth IDR 7.2 billion were released by Ganjar in front of the Java Heritage Hotel Banyumas.
Ganjar said that Central Java MSMEs have now advanced to class. Central Java Provincial Government's assistance and support for MSME players has begun to show results. Many Central Java MSME products have successfully penetrated the world market.
The seven containers contain atsiri oil, organic coconut sugar, palm flower, glagah broom, noodles, soun, embing and various other products. The superior MSME products in Central Java will be exported to the United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, China and South Korea.
"This is encouraging news, yes, assistance to MSMEs has actually paid off. We have accompanied various processed MSME products that are world-class. This is a momentum for our MSMEs to advance to class," said Ganjar in his statement, Friday, May 12.
After the pandemic, Central Java's trading activities, especially exports, Ganjar continued, had started to rise. In the first quarter of 2023 alone, the Central Java trade balance experienced a surplus of 708 million USD.
"If you add this export, it will accelerate the condition. This is good news, there are more exports from Central Java, and this comes from small businesses," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Java Provincial Trade and Industry Office, Ratna Kawuri, said that the majority of MSME actors who had exported their products were accompanied by the Central Java Industry and Trade Agency. They are members of the export coaching program.
"So the Perindag Service has one type of service or facility to provide coaching programs for exports. Providing literacy and so on to exporters so that they understand what export techniques are like. And friends who are exports today, are those who take part in the program," he explained.
An exporter, Setya Widiastuti, admitted that he had been in the organic crystal coconut sugar business since 2011. After receiving assistance from the Central Java Provincial Government, now its products are selling well in the international market, especially in the United States and Europe.
"In 2023 alone, I have exported 13 containers. On average, if conditions are normal, I can export 4-6 containers per month, once up to 10 containers with a capacity of 40 feet," he explained.
Setya explained that the support from the Central Java Provincial Government for MSMEs to advance to class is extraordinary. The business climate is made conducive and training and assistance continues.
