Remembering Father, Ken Block's Daughter Will Drive Porsche 911 Hoonpigasus To The Pikes Peak Arena

JAKARTA - The daughter of the late Ken Block, Lia Block will drive her father's Porsche 911, Hoonipegasus at this year's Pikes Peak International Hill CLimb racing event.

Last year, Pereli Ken Block intended to break the record for the Pikes Peak still held by Romain Dumas in a VW IDR car. However, during the training session, he had problems with the engine that kept him out of the competition.

The child, Lia will take "Hoonipigosus" to the Hill Climb arena to pay tribute to Ken, who passed away last January due to a snowmobile accident.

"This June, I will make a tribute at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2023 with Hoonpigasus," Lia said in an announcement on social media released by Dirtfish, Thursday, April 27.

Although she will only do a "tribute run", Lia cannot deny that one day she will conquer the Pikes Peak arena in Colorado, United States.

"I'm really excited to climb it with this crazy car (even though it's not for time), and it makes my feet sweat in the legendary Pikes Peak mountains! Maybe it's just a warm-up for the future?," said Lia.

Porsche 911 "Hoonipgasus" has a very aggressive performance and body. From the display, the base is taken from the old Porsche 911 with several modifications.

Some of these modifications include a large front splitter, a wide feder on the side, a distance between humiliated soils, a large diffuser on the back, and a giant rear wing to help aerodynamics on Hoonpigasus.

The name "Hoonipigus" was taken from the combined brand name run by the late Ken Block, Hoonigans. Then, "Pig" taken from the base color of this car is pink which resembles a pig, as well as "Pegasus" which contains pictures of flying horses on the car.

Speaking of engines, the Porsche 911 "Hoonipigos" is equipped with a flat-6 4.0 liter twin-turbo engine that can produce a powerful power of 1,400 dk.

Lia Block will take Hoonipigasus to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb arena on June 25.

The motorcyclesport arena is nothing new for Lia Block. Prior to that, he would follow the Oregon Trial Rally on May 19-21, and the Southern Ohio Forest Rally on June 8-10 in a Subaru BRZ.
