Police Denies Uncle AKBP Buddy's Statement, CCTV Evidence For Victims Street From Police To TKP
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police firmly denied Cyprus A. Tatali's statement claiming to be the uncle of AKBP Buddy Alfrits Towoliu. The uncle stated that the victim was riding an online motorcycle taxi (Ojol) from the East Jakarta Police Headquarters to the TKP the victim was found dead when he was hit by a train near Jatinegara Station, East Jakarta.
"Regarding online motorcycle taxis, (victims) do not use online motorcycle taxis. This is based on CCTV evidence showing that the victim walked alone from the Police Headquarters to the crime scene," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Leonardus Harantija Simarmata to reporters, Monday, May 1.
The CCTV footage was shown by the police, starting from the CCTV in the East Jakarta Metro Police area to Jatinegara Station.
Regarding this case, 7 witnesses were examined, starting from the victim's cousin, deputy station head, driver, train PKD and 2 members of the East Jakarta Metro Police. Kombes Leonardus explained the complete chronology of the victim's arrival while serving on Saturday, April 29.
"Based on Jhonnaedy Towoliu's statement (the victim's cousin), they walked from the victim's house together using a white Avanza car. The victim had entered his room and had breakfast with the one his wife had prepared. He had time to take medicine, then changed clothes and tried to sleep in the room. Then change t-shirts and black jackets," he said.
Then the victim got down alone from his room, got into the elevator to get under his office. Then the victim left the Police Headquarters on foot and crossed the highway at around 09.12 WIB.
"At 09.21 WIB, the victim arrived in front of Jatinegara Station. He walked alone from the east, still wearing the same clothes," he said.
Meanwhile, from the testimony of witnesses, continued Kombes Leonardus, the driver and assistant to the train driver bound for Senen - Tegal, the train entered the international station with a train speed of 27 km per hour.
"The victim was already on the edge of the inner wall of the railway line on Jalan Raya, East Bekasi. The testimony of the witness, the victim then passed by and was hit and died. At 09.31 WIB the victim was found dead," he said.
Previously, Cyprus A. Tatali, the victim's uncle, had questioned the victim's online motorcycle taxi after receiving the call. But for almost an hour, news got that the victim had died.
"These are allegations, because how come it didn't take 1 hour from the phone, the news died immediately. Why did the family refuse (to kill)? Because (the victim) came from a good house, with the person he met for good rehabilitation, suddenly the news didn't reach 1 hour he received a call someone suddenly died. We suspected that there might be a game too," he said.
