Daihatsu Following Other Manufacturers Entering The Electrification Field

JAKARTA - In today's era, automotive manufacturers are busy in introducing and producing environmentally friendly vehicles, both hybrid and Electric Vehicle (EV).

The vehicle manufacturer from Sakura Country, Daihatsu does not want to lose in this regard. They will introduce a hybrid car unit at the Malaysia Auto Show 2023 which will take place 4-7 May 2023.

This is increasingly clear in an Instagram account upload of Perodua, as the car distributor of Daihatsu Malaysia, who posted a picture in the form of a silhouette which at first glance resembled Ayla's hatchback accompanied by the words "Electric Motion Online" (EMO).

Reporting from Paultan, Jum'at, April 28, the President and CEO of Perodua, Datuk Sari Zainal Abidin Ahmad, said that their first HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) became a variant of the overall model change.

Which means, it is possible that the model will become the "All-New" or the emergence of the latest generation. However, Perodua does not want to inform about this vehicle later.

Unlike several manufacturers that have entered the realm of electrification, Daihatsu has just started producing environmentally friendly vehicles through hybrid cars, after previously only introducing the concept model.

Previously, Daihatsu had exhibited an electric concept car, namely Ayla EV at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), but the manufacturer has yet to provide the launch of the model and its production time.
