JAKARTA - The two sons of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono, welcomed the arrival of Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto at Puri Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday night.
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) who is also the General Chair of the Democratic Party and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono alias Ibas as Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party also appears to be accompanied by Secretary General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky.
Airlangga Hartarto and his entourage from the Golkar Party arrived at Puri Cikeas at 18.47 WIB.
AHY and Ibas as the host invited the group of the Golkar Party to enter their residence through the door of the pavilion to hold closed talks with Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
Head of the Strategic Communications Agency / Coordinator of the Democratic Party Spokesperson Herzaky Mahendra Putra revealed that this friendship was carried out at the request of Airlangga Hartarto.
"Given that before this, Mr. SBY had often traveled and was in Pacitan, preparing to open the SBY-Ani Museum. This meeting could only be held tonight, especially since the moment was still in the atmosphere of Eid," Herzaky said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, April 29.
According to Herzaky, the friendship will discuss the latest national issues. Details of the content of the meeting will be delivered directly by AHY and Airlangga Hartarto after the meeting at a joint press conference.
The Democrat Party is fully committed to fighting for change and improvement with the NasDem Party and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) in the Change Coalition.
Herzaky emphasized that it had become a decision within the Democratic Party and an agreement in the Change Coalition that Anies Baswedan would be a presidential candidate (candidate) to be promoted in the 2024 General Election.
Gathering and communication with various elements of the nation will continue to be carried out for the benefit of the nation, he added. Not only that, collaboration and communication with various elements of the nation must also continue to be carried out even though they are not currently in the same coalition.
"The problem of this nation and its challenges in the future are increasingly complex. It takes hard work and togetherness of all elements of the nation in dealing with it," said Herzaky.
