Once Charged, This Urban Mungil EV Has A Reach Of 228 Km

JAKARTA - British automaker MG (Morris Garages), has launched a new entry-level electric car model called Comet EV in India.

This car has a small size designed to drive in urban areas, but is equipped with modern features that match today's lifestyle with four seats aimed at Generation Z.

Comet EV is a rebadged version of Wuling Air EV, according to Autocar, Thursday, April 27. Although there are also differences, Comet EV has an exterior and interior design as well as almost the same technology as Wuling Air EV.

The second difference lies in the driving force because Comet EVs are only available in 17.3 kWh batteries with a claim distance of 228 kilometers deep below Wuling Air EV with a 26.7 kWh battery with a longer distance of 300 kilometers.

Unfortunately, with the cheap price Comet EV not supported by fast charging, it means a 0-100% refill will take about seven hours.

For interior, MG embeds an entertainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity supported by a screen of 10, 25 inches.

Marketed at a price of 798,000 rupees of around Rp. 142 million, MG Comet EV will compete with BYD Seagull, Citroatur Ami and Wuling Hongguang Mini EV in the electric vehicle market in India.
