Bogor Peak Is Severely Congested, Vehicles From Jakarta Diverted Out At KM 40 Jagorawi Toll Road
Due to severe traffic jams to the peak, over police discretion, Jasa Marga implemented traffic diversion engineering, Tuesday, April 25.
Road users with a peak destination through the Ciawi Toll Gate (GT) of the Jagorawi Toll Road, are diverted out of Bogor via GT Bogor 1 at Km 40.
"Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate travel routes so that they can optimize the ongoing traffic engineering," said Jasamarga Metropolitan Spokesperson, Jakarta, Panji Satriya, Tuesday, April 25.
Jasa Marga also urges road users to be able to ensure the adequacy of electronic card balances before starting the trip to avoid overcrowding when transacting at toll gates. Always obey traffic signs and follow directions from officers in the field.
Update the traffic information on the Jasa Marga Group toll road through the 24-hour call center Jasa Marga 14080 or through the Travoy application.
Previously, tens of thousands of vehicles were stuck in traffic at the Cianjur homecoming route, West Java, with a queue tail of about 18 kilometers. This queue did not move for eight hours due to the congestion of vehicles, especially two-wheeled vehicles entering and leaving lanes in the jurisdiction of the Bogor Police.
Antara reporters on the main route of Puncak reported that the queue of vehicles heading towards Bogor and so on had been seen since Monday afternoon, April 24, so officers had carried out a one-way open and close system from Bogor to Cianjur. However, the system did not produce results.
The queue of vehicles from both directions continues to lengthen, even the extension of the time for the one-way system from Cianjur to Bogor is implemented by officers until Monday night. However, again, these efforts were unable to disburse queues that extend up to tens of kilometers.
Tens of thousands of four-wheeled vehicles were trapped for up to eight hours on the main route of Puncak-Cianjur, with the speed of vehicles not moving, plus from the afternoon until the evening it rained heavily, so the police closed the route to Puncak from the Cianjur direction, precisely from the Gentur-By Pass Light Monument Roundabout.
Officers directed vehicles with the aim of Bogor and Jakarta, to take the alternative route for Jonggol and Sukabumi from the direction of Bandung-Cianjur, in an effort to anticipate total traffic jams that continued to lengthen and not move.
