Suzuki Funx, Toyota Raize's Ideal Competitor From India

JAKARTA - Some time ago, the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Suzuki launched its newest crossover, thefront which is ready to compete with other rival SUVs.

Basically, Tronx is a Baleno model that was made into an SUV crossover. The car, which was launched for the Indian market some time ago, has an advantage, namely less fuel consumption compared to SUVs in general.

Suzuki will provide two engine options, namely 1,200 cc and 1,000 cc turbo. The 1,000 cc turbo engine is capable of generating 98 dk of power and a maximum torque of 147 Nm which also offers two transmission options, namely manual five accelerations and automatic six accelerations.

For the 1,200 cc variant, it can produce 88 dk of power and a 113 Nm peak torque that offers two transmission options, namely manual five acceleration and AMT five acceleration.

Suzuki offers an advantage to Tronx, which is more efficient consumption of fuel. Manual transmission can consume 21.5 km/liter of fuel. While automatic transmission with a 1.0 liter turbo can consume 20 km/liter.

However, the more efficient variant is the 1,200 cc engine which is estimated to consume 21.79 km/liter of fuel in manual transmission and 22.89 km/liter in automatic transmission.

In terms of car size, Tronx is at first glance similar to the crossover of its competitor, Toyota Raize. However, Tronx has a more compact size.

Suzuki Fronx has a length of 3,995 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, a height of 1,550 mm with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm.

As for Toyota Raize, it has a wider size with a length of 4,030 mm, a width of 1,710 mm, a height of 1,635 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,475 mm.

However, it is still unknown whether Suzuki will bring the latest model to the Indonesian market. This will be interesting if Suzuki fronts enliven the SUV market in Indonesia.
