Drunk In The Month Of Fasting, The Man In Purbalingga Stabs His Friend Using A Kudi, Escapes To His Second Wife's House

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Purbalingga Police, AKP Suyanto, explained that the incident began when the two AF and HS were drunk together at AF's house in Mewek Village, Kalimanah District, Purbalingga Regency, last Saturday, April 1 at 17.30 WIB, before breaking the fast.

Suspect AF and victim HS were together drinking alcohol at the suspect AF's house. At that time, the victim couldn't wait to be escorted home. Finally, there was a quarrel and commotion between the suspect and the victim.

When there was a commotion, the victim was told to go home by the wife of suspect AF so that there would be no fights. But the victim did not go home, instead went behind the house and tried to throw the suspect with a stone. The suspect managed to escape so that he was not hit by the victim's throw.

"The suspect (AF) abused using a sharp kudi weapon until the victim (HS) suffered a 10 centimeter tear on the left forehead and left palm with eight stitches," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit in a written statement, Wednesday, April 12.

"The suspect then entered the house and took the kudi and then slashed the victim until it hit his hand and head," he explained.

Based on the victim's report, then officers from Unit 1 of the Purbalingga Police Satreskrim conducted an investigation. The results of the investigation found information on the whereabouts of the suspect in the Banyumas Regency area. Then a chase was carried out to the location.

"The suspect was finally successfully secured at his second wife's house in the Banyumas Regency area on Friday, April 7, 2023," he said.

The evidence that was secured was a kudi bar used by the suspect to persecute the victim. In addition, one lump of rock that the victim threw at the suspect.

Kasat Reskrim added that the suspect was subject to Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning Persecution. With the threat of imprisonment for two years and eight months.
