Following Jasa Marga, Hutama Karya Also Discounts To Toll Tariffs Of 20 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK announced that it would provide discounted toll rates to travelers. The tariff discount given is 20 percent.

"This toll tariff discount will take effect from April 16 to April 18 while the backflow will take effect from April 26 to April 28," said Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Hutama Karya Toll Road Operations and Maintenance Division (OPT), Dwi Aryono Bayuaji at a press conference on Infrastructure Readiness to Support Eid Al-Fitr 2023, Tuesday, April 11.

Dwi added that the road segment that enforces the discount is for the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar-Kanyuagung section and will only be applied at the 3 main gates, namely South Bakau, Kayuagung and Kayuagung Utama.

"So, for 20 percent the furthest tariff applies to homecoming on April 16-18 and April 26-28 backflow," he said.

On the same occasion, BPJT Secretary Yongki Triono said that the provision of tariff discounts was an initiative of the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to break traffic so that there would be no accumulation of travelers.

"We welcome discounts and of course without reducing service quality and the goal is to break traffic so that there is no buildup of D-1 Lebaran and backflow," Yongki continued.

Previously, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk imposed a 20 percent discount for the furthest tariff for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in order to maximize the distribution of traffic on this year's homecoming and backflows.

"The implementation of the 20 percent toll rate discount is a form of service and appreciation for toll road users who also aim to maximize traffic distribution. This is to avoid the accumulation of vehicles on one particular date, especially the dates that have been predicted to be the peak of homecoming flow and backflow for Eid al-Fitr 1444 H," said Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, April 6.

Subakti added that the 20 percent toll rate discount only applies to two toll gates, namely the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road which is heading/from the direction of Trans Java and GT Kalihurip Utama, Cipularang Toll Road, which is heading/from the direction of Bandung.
