Jasa Marga Estimates 2.78 Million Vehicles In D+7 And D-7 Lebaran

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga Tbk (SJMR) estimates that the volume of Jabodetabek outflow traffic during the period D-7 to D+7 Lebaran 2023 through four main toll gates is estimated to reach 2.78 million vehicles, an increase of 6.77 percent from Eid in 2022.

"This year there is an allowance for the revocation of PPKM so that Jasa Marga predicts an increase of up to 2.78 million," said Business Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Reza Febriano at a press conference on Infrastructure Readiness to Support Eid Al-Fitr 2023.

Reza continued, the peak of the homecoming flow is also expected to occur on April 19 and the peak of backflow is expected to occur on April 25, 2023.

He detailed the distribution of traffic volume by 52 percent to the east or trans Java, while for the volume of traffic entering Jabodetabek road H-7 to D+7 for 16 days through 4 main gates of 2.66 million vehicles, an increase of 3.71 percent to Eid al-Fitr in 2022.

"The distribution of traffic volume from the east of Trans Java to Jabodetabek is 51.2 percent," added Reza.

He added that the prediction of homecoming peak traffic on April 19, 2023 (D-3) was 138 thousand vehicles that would occur at KM 66 Jakarta Cikampek, an increase of 154 percent compared to normal in 2022.

Meanwhile, the peak of the predicted backflow occurred on April 25, 2023, with the total number of vehicles passing through Jakarta Cikampek Km 66 and an estimated 178 thousand vehicles, an increase of 237 percent compared to normal conditions.

Reza further added, according to the decision of the Director General of Hubdat, Director General of Highways and Traffic Corps, his party will also make road arrangements both related to operational restrictions for non-class 1 trucks where the time for restrictions on trucks is carried out at the time of homecoming and return.

"Then the traffic engineering has been planned in the SKB which has been signed by the Director General of Hubdat, Korlantas and Binamarga for traffic engineering will be counterflowed for homecoming flow and one way will be carried out from KM 72 Jakarta-Cikampek to KM 414 section semarang bar," explained Reza.

His party will also implement an odd-even system for vehicles passing on toll roads that will take effect on April 16.
