Charity Box Fraud Rises Through Qris Barcode Stickers At South Tangerang Mosque, Police Urge DKM To Intervene

TANGERANG - The action of attaching a sticker to the online payment system using a code (Qris) did not only happen in Jakarta. At the Great Mosque of Bintaro, South Tangerang also experienced the same thing.

As we know, in the CCTV footage, the perpetrator is seen attaching a sticker to the charity box. He closed the official sticker of the mosque, replacing it with the barcot code that had been arranged by him.

Contacted separately, the Head of Public Relations of the South Tangerang Police, Ipda Galih admitted that he had not received the report. However, his party will investigate the case of the fake Qris mode.

"We have monitored the incident, it will be investigated by the Police and Polsek. Until now there has been no official report regarding the incident either at the Resort Police or Polsek, but it will still be investigated," said Galih when confirmed, Tuesday, April 11.

Galih also appealed to the public when giving alms to be more thorough and careful. The police also appealed to the People's Prosperity Council (DKM) of the Mosque to check the authenticity of Qris in that place.

"And Bhabinkamtibmas will also be advised to DKM Mosques at the South Tangerang Police Wilkum, so that the Mosque DKM is aware of checking the authenticity of its Qris Stickers," concluded Galih.
