77th Air Force Anniversary Gift: Two Boxers Of Sasana Dirgantara Win TKO In Thailand
JAKARTA - Dua petinu Sasana Dirgantara TNI AU, Ilham Leoisa dan Emanuel Nahak memberikan hadiah spesial dalam peringatan HUT ke-77 TNI AU berupa kemenangan TKO dalam pertandingan di Singmanassak Muaythai School, Pathum Thani, Thailand, Minggu 9 April 2023.
Ilham won the fifth round of TKO over Chaiyarat Sawangsoda, while Emanuel was declared to have won the second round of TKO over Chanon Sonkham.
"We want to present this victory for the Indonesian Air Force, which today celebrates its 77th anniversary. Even though this is a non-degree match, I am very happy to be able to win this match," Ilham said in a written statement received by VOI, Sunday.
This result, continued Ilham, is the capital for the next match. He believes XBC Sportech is already preparing for the next fight.
Ilham appeared tactical and disciplined from the start. Boxer with the rank of head soldier is more exploring opponents in the first round of chilies and continues to throw jabs. After starting to feel comfortable, Ilham began to collect points in the second round and dominate opponents in the third round.
Entering the fourth round, Chaiyarat seemed to be starting to falter and was overwhelmed by the combination of Ilham's punches. Repeatedly the left straight and right hook of Ilham landed with a landslide and made Chaiyarat waver.
In the last 20 seconds, the Thai boxer was pushed into the ring rope but the bell still saved him.
Ilham immediately launched a combination of punches when the fifth round started. A right hook of Ilham made Chaiyarat fall.
The referee on duty, Sirimongkhon Lamthuan stopped the match because Chaiyarat could not rise after the 10th count.
With this victory, now Ilham has a record fighting 12 times (10 KOs), 1 loss (one KO), and 1 draw.
Meanwhile, Emanuel also did not waste time and immediately attacked the opponent with hard punches at the opponent's body since the first round. Chanon had fallen, but the referee did not count because he judged the Thai boxer had fallen due to a slip.
In the second round, this Indonesian boxer again dominated his opponent. One left hook towards the body made Chanon collapse even though he was still able to rise again.
This boxer with the rank of soldier did not give the opponent a chance to breathe and again launched a combination of punches on the body until Chanon collapsed again and could not continue the match.
This victory made Emanuel improve his fighting record to 6 wins (3 KOs), 3 defeats (1 KOs), and 1 draw.
XBC Sportech Chief Executive Officer Urgyen Rinchen Sim praised the performances of the two boxers and said it had designed their next fight for them.
Ilham and Emanuel performed outstanding. This result is their best offering for the Indonesian Air Force, which today celebrates its 77th anniversary. After this, Ilham will defend the title and Emanuel will face a tougher opponent. So just wait," said the man who is familiarly called Simon.
