COVID-19 Cases In Babylon Decreased, 12 Patients Left In Four Regencies

The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Babel) stated that 12 COVID-19 patients in its area remained, or decreased compared to the previous day as many as 13 people.

"Although the COVID-19 case has decreased, we urge the public to return to the discipline of implementing health protocols," said Secretary of the Babel Islands COVID-19 Handling Task Force Mikron Antariksa, Antara, Sunday, April 9.

He said as many as 12 COVID-19 patients who were still undergoing self-quarantine were spread across Bangka Regency (5), Central Bangka (3), West Bangka (2). two, South Bangka (1) and East Belitung (1).

"Currently only the cities of Pangkalpinang and East Belitung are without COVID-19 patients, along with the absence of cases of people exposed to the corona virus in the past week," he said.

He stated that currently the number of recovered patients from COVID-19 has increased by one, while the number of cases of people exposed to the corona virus and patients dying from the corona virus is zero.

"We hope that the public will remain vigilant and continue to apply a clean and healthy lifestyle, and always carry out health protocols so that there will be no more spikes in COVID-19 cases during this Ramadan fasting month," he said.

Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section of the Babel Islands Health Office Rais Haru said the first and second booster vaccination services were at the community health service center.

"Socialization and vaccination services in hospitals, health centers and clinics continue to be intensified, as an important effort to increase antibody titers and extend people's body protection from this virus," he said.
