Honda Launches CR-V PHEV, Big SUV And Irrit

JAKARTA - Honda's subsidiary in China, Dongfeng Honda officially introduced the Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PHEV) version of CR-V. The SUV offers some very efficient features and performance.

In the exterior, of course, this variant adopts the CR-V model that was released some time ago. However, this car is equipped with a battery charging port as a facility to charge batteries.

Quoted from Top Gear Philippines, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, CR-V PHEV is equipped with a 2.0 liter DOHC 4-cylinder gasoline engine which has a capacity of 1,993 cc combined with two electric motors and an Atkinson Cycle injection engine, so that it can power 215 dk with a torque of 335 Nm. This car can go up to 193 km/hour.

With the hybrid system offered, the Honda CR-V can consume more efficient fuel, reaching 1.61 liters per 100 km.

Honda also claims that the SUV has a large capacity battery that supports the longer use of EVs that allow this car to go up to 73 km without gasoline at all.

PHEV CR-V is equipped with 17 kWh ion lithium batteries. Meanwhile, if all are combined with fully charged fuel, this SUV can go as far as 916 km.

In addition to offering more efficient gasoline technology, Honda also embeds some advanced features, including the Honda Connect 3.0 which can help drivers in terms of navigation, AI-assisted infotainment systems, and over the air through the Honda Connect 3.0.

In addition, Honda also provides safety and security features, such as the Honda Sensing 360 which consists of the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Lane Change Collision Management (LCCM), System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Adaptive Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), as well as cameras that can see 360 degrees.

Dongfeng Honda set the price of CR-V PHEV for the Chinese market which is priced at 245,900 yuan to 289,900 yuan. If converted, it becomes IDR 532.5 million to IDR 627.8 million.

The price installed is more expensive than PHEV cars from competing brands, such as Toyota RAV4 which can reach Rp536 million to Rp616 million.
