Quarter-finals Spain Masters 2023: 7 Indonesian Representatives Keep Asa Champion
JAKARTA - Indonesia's opportunity to secure the title from the Spain Masters 2023 is still maintained. Until the quarter-finals on Friday, March 31, Indonesia still has seven representatives competing.
In the struggle at Centro Deportivo Municipal Gallor, Madrid, the Red and White Squad ran out of ammunition from the men's singles sector. Even so, four other sectors, namely women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's doubles and women's singles, still sent representatives to continue the hope of winning.
From the women's singles sector, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung stepped into the quarter-finals after defeating Kim Ga Eun. So the only representative in this sector, Gregoria will face Line Christophersen for the semifinals.
Just like the women's singles, the women's doubles also only sent one representative, namely Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari/Rachel Alllessya Rose. They will meet Chinese representatives, Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning.
Shifting to the men's doubles sector, there will be two Indonesian representatives competing. Through the struggle of Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan Indonesia can have the opportunity to advance to the semifinals.
At this moment Fajar/Rian will face Lee Fang-Chih/Lee Fang-Jen who previously defeated Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri. Meanwhile, Pram/Yere will face Ren Xiang Yu/Tan Qiang.
An exciting match will actually occur in the mixed doubles sector because it sends the most representatives. Of the three pairs who performed two of them even had to face each other.
