Fans Climb Speaker Tower, Slipknot Stop 2 Concerts At Knotfest
JAKARTA - Slipknot stopped their two actions at the Australian Knotfest this week. The reason is that there are wild fans who climb into the tower of large speakers in order to see Corey Taylor et al's actions clearer.
A fan sat on a loudspeaker tower for several songs during the Slipknot festival in Melbourne last Friday, March 24. Not until The Heretic Anthem, the ninth song on the list, the festival organizer finally asked the reckless fan to step down.
"Hi Knotfest, we have stopped the show because there are people in the air," they said over loudspeakers. "Whoever was in the tower had to go down or the show wouldn't start until you got off."
Two days later, other fans followed in the footsteps of the brave, climbing the same speaker tower for Slipknot's second action at Knotfest.
Frontman Corey Taylor commented on the situation. He praised the Australian fan.
"Making you climbing a tower, jumping from a tower, rolling around - what are these words? It's okay, I can't continue to be angry with you. So far, this is one of my favorite countries around the world. I mean that. You help put us where we are and we never forget that, man, so thank you very much. "
