Alleged Corruption Cuts Employee Payments, KPK Names Kapuas Regent And Suspect DPR Member
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named two suspects related to the alleged receipt, or cut payments to civil servants in Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. The two suspects are regional heads and members of the Indonesian House of Representatives."Currently, the KPK has conducted an investigation and named a party as a suspect in connection with allegations of corruption by state officials," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, March 28.The KPK has not detailed these two suspects. However, information circulated that the Regent of Kapuas Ben Brahim S. Bahat and his wife, who are members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ary Egahni, were caught in this case.Furthermore, Ali said that the modus operandi of the two suspects was to make it seem as if there was a debt to be paid. "Even though it is known that this is not a debt," he said.The complete information for this new investigation will soon be conveyed.
