KST Shooting Victims In Puncak Jaya Papua Become 3 People, 2 Died, One Selamat
JAKARTA - Head of Public Relations (Head of Public Relations) of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, explained that there were three members of the TNI-Polri who were victims of the shooting during the attack allegedly carried out by the Terrorist Separatist Group (KST) in Ilu District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua.
In addition to two members of the Indonesian National Police named Serda Riswar, members of Koramil 1714-02/Ilu and Bripda Mesak, members of the Ilu Police who died, it turned out that another member of the National Police also suffered gunshot wounds.
"As a result of the attack, two members died. One personnel suffered a gunshot wound, on behalf of Brigadier Pol Muhamad Arif Hidayat," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in his official statement, Sunday, March 26.
The incident occurred when 18 personnel from the joint TNI and Polri officers carried out security for a combination of tarawih prayers in front of the Al-Amaliah mosque.
"After the shooting incident, 3 members were taken to the Mulia Regional General Hospital (RSUD)," he said.
Furthermore, the body of a member of the National Police was flown to Jayapura. Then they were flown again to Merauke, South Papua to be handed over to the family.
"While members of the TNI who died, it is planned that tomorrow, Monday, March 27, they will be flown to Jayapura, then flown to Sorong, West Papua," he said.
As previously reported, Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman said the perpetrators of the shooting of two TNI and Polri personnel in front of the Al-Amaliah Ilu Mosque, Puncak Jaya Regency, were carried out by a gang of Separatist Terrorist Groups (KST).
