KST Allegedly The Perpetrator Of The Shooting That Killed 2 TNI/Polri Members In Puncak Jaya Papua
Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman said the perpetrators of the shooting of two TNI and Polri personnel in front of the Al-Amaliah Ilu Mosque, Puncak Jaya Regency, were carried out by a gang of Separatist Terrorist Groups (KST).
"This shooting was allegedly carried out by KST totaling two people," said Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman, Sunday, March 26.
As a result of the incident, Colonel Kav Herman continued, two members of the Indonesian National Police died.
"The two members who died were Serda R, members of Koramil 1714-02/Ilu and Bripda M, members of the Ilu Police," he said.
The incident added that two KST people were brutally carried out towards the community and the TNI and Polri officers who were worshiping and securing places of worship during Tarawih prayers.
Previously, it was reported that another shooting took place in front of the Al-Amaliah Ilu Mosque which was carried out by an unknown person on Saturday, March 25.
As a result of the shooting, two TNI and Polri personnel reportedly suffered gunshot wounds.
Based on a written report received by VOI, the incident began on Saturday, March 25 at around 20.00 WIT.
That night, the victim and other personnel carried out security at the Tarawih prayer place. While carrying out security, suddenly they received gunfire from the front of a kiosk by two unknown people brutally.
The series of gunshot eruptions were released by the perpetrators suspected of being the terror group.
The shot was directed at the personnel who carried out security for Tarawih prayers.
The perpetrators were suspected of carrying out the shooting using long-barreled and short-barreled weapons at the victim.
As a result of the shooting incident, two members of the TNI and Polri were shot. The two victims died named Serda Riswar, members of Koramil 1714-02/Ilu and Bripda Mesak, members of the Ilu Police.
