'Pak Ogah' Traffic Regulators At Pondok Labu South Jakarta, Become Suspects After Persecution Of Indonesian Navy Members

JAKARTA After an investigation and examination of witnesses, the South Jakarta Metro Police named one suspect in the persecution of a member of the Indonesian Navy with the initials RF alias B. RF is a traffic controller, not a volunteer, but a local resident who is usually at the crossroads to earn change, or commonly called Pak Ogah.

He abused members of the Indonesian Navy in the DDN Complex, Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta.

"We have named the suspect, namely RF alias B, who is concerned with illegal traffic control, so he is not part of the volunteers," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Irwandhy Idrus to reporters, Friday, March 24.

Irwandhy said that the incident started when the victim passed the crime scene (TKP) with a fairly congested vehicle condition.

Furthermore, the RF which regulates illegal traffic actually causes the situation to become more congested. So there was a quarrel between the victim and the suspect.

"So there was an argument between the victim and the suspect so that he beat the victim," he said.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his face and teeth. He was even rushed to Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta.

"The condition of the victim had suffered injuries to his mouth and teeth were also injured. he had received treatment at the hospital and we did a post-mortem at Fatmawati Hospital," he said.

The perpetrator was named a suspect and charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5 years in prison.

"The perpetrator has been named a suspect and so far we will be detained for the next 20 days," he concluded.
