Promote World Water Forum In Bali, Minister Basuki Calls Water A Top Priority

JAKARTA - The Ministry of PUPR is promoting the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) event in Bali, which will be held in 2024.

This was conveyed by the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono at the opening of the exhibition (mini exhibition) held at the UN head office in collaboration between the Indonesian government and the World Water Council (WWC).

The exhibition activity was held as one of the series of UN 2023 Water Conference (UN Water Conference 2023) events in New York, United States.

Minister Basuki said the 10th WWF in Bali was the largest international conference in the water sector. "Through this forum, we will make water a top priority and ensure its sustainability for future generations," Basuki said in a press release, quoted on Friday, March 24.

With the implementation of the 10th WWF, Basuki stated, the Indonesian government hopes that there will be continuity in the rounding of results and accelerating the implementation of commitments for actions from New York 2023 to Bali 2024.

It is known that the 10th WWF will be held on May 18-24, 2024 in Bali. It is estimated that more than 30,000 participants will attend and take part in this event, including heads of state and ministers from hundreds of countries and organizations.

Basuki said that around 250-300 discussion sessions would be held with the support of international partners at the event.

"On this occasion, I would like to invite you to participate in the 10th WWF and The 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting which will be held on September 18-19 2023 in Bali. Thank you for coming and let's enjoy the exhibition together," he said.

For your information, the exhibition is divided into four parts. The first part explains the origin of WWF in 1997 by WWC. Second, about the 10-th WWF agenda in Bali, in 2024.
