JAKARTA - Social media platform X announced the addition of a new subscription level called Premium+, at a higher price than the basic one.
The Premium+ subscription will be priced at 16 US dollars (Rp255,000) per month, with features previously available on Premium subscriptions, as well as the ability to eliminate ads on both user timelines, namely For You and Following.

X also launched a Premium Basic subscription package for $3 (Rp48 thousand), with more limited capabilities than Premium and Premium+ subscriptions.
With a Premium Basic subscription, users won't get a blue tick or share of the results. Instead, it offers additional such as tweet editing, longer posts, the ability to download videos.
For the record, it appears that the two new subscription levels are only available on the web, for now.
This new subscription plan comes as the X advertising business continues to decline, and the company is increasingly dependent on subscription revenue.
X has also recently started testing a program that requires all new users in several countries to pay $1 (Rp15.9 thousand) per year to send and reply to tweets.
