JAKARTA - Google has just added two new features to provide a better experience for listening to YouTube Music on Wear OS watches.

You can listen to music by streaming music over LTE or Wi-Fi, or you can download songs to your watch so you can listen to music offline, without having to use your phone.

Google warns that YouTube Music is supported on most watches running the latest version of Wear OS 2, or later. All playback from YouTube Music must be 128 kbps AAC bitrate.

What can be done with YouTube Music on Wear OS?

Listening to YouTube Music through your watch will certainly make it easier for you to enjoy your favorite music. Plus, you can also do these things via YouTube Music on Wear OS:

Stream music right from your watch so you can listen without a paired device nearby. Control playback, manage your downloads, and like songs, all from your wrist. Download the YouTube Music App

To get started, download the YouTube Music app to your Wear OS watch:

Open the Google Play Store on your watch. Browse YouTube Music. Select the YouTube Music app to start downloading it to your device. Once the app is installed, sign in to your YouTube Music account to start listening to music. From there, you can browse your library, exercise advice, find downloads, and personalized music recommendations. Download Music

Open YouTube Music on your Wear OS watch Tap the song or playlist you want to download Tap the download icon. Musical Music

To listen to YouTube Music, make sure your watch is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

It's important to remember that if you want to use a cellular connection, you'll need an LTE plan from your provider. Mobile streaming is not supported on iOS.
