Toyota Opens New Head Office In Shinagawa In 2030

Japanese auto giant Toyota announced plans to open a new headquarters in Tokyo to the Shinagawa Station West Exit area in fiscal year 2030 (around April 2030 - March 2031).

This step marks Toyota's major transformation which not only focuses on car production, but also penetrates a wider world of mobility.

In the company's release, Friday, March 24, this new headquarters is not just a place to work normally. Toyota designed it as an "important base" to lead them in the new mobility era. The concept carries open collaboration, with the provision of a joint workspace that allows various partners to work together, then there is a software development facility to create innovative mobility services, and of course there is a demonstration arena to showcase the latest technology.

Office designs are also designed to support future mobility. Employees are encouraged to carry and use their personal mobility devices in the office environment.

This move cannot be separated from Toyota's vision of turning into a "mobility company." They want to give "smile and happiness" through various mobility services.

Toyota's focus is called not only on comfort, but also sustainability. The concept of "CASE" (Connected, Autonomous/Automated, Shared, and Electric) is a reference for development, with the target of achieving carbon neutrality and living side by side with the earth sustainably.
