JAKARTA - The motorbike racer of Greysini Racing, Marc Marquez, has a problem at the front-end under the brakes which caused him and his motorbike to fall down during the 2024 MotoGP in America.
The Spaniard had led the American MotoGP race which took place at Circuit of the America, Texas, Monday morning WIB. But Marquez had to give up the lead after falling when the race only left ten laps.
"I'm satisfied because we are between the leading positions, we are fast and give everything we can. Unfortunately we have front-end problems under braking, I'm uncomfortable and I'm fighting (on the last lap). The accident happened because there was nothing I could do to overcome these obstacles," Marquez said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 15.
The eight-time world title winner is optimistic that Gresini Racing team will be able to provide the best solution to the obstacles he experienced during this race in the American series.
Marquez believes he will be able to do much at the 2024 MotoGP series Jerez which will take place at the Jerez Circuit, Spain on April 28.
"We are working well and I'm sure we will fix the current problems, as we did for another problem that appeared before, and we will try to compete again in Jerez," said the 31-year-old racer.
Marquez also experienced the incident of failing to compete for the top position in the previous series when competing for fifth place in the 2024 MotoGP race, Portimao Portugal.
Marquez had to collide with Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia when the race left two laps. After the incident, Marquez was able to continue the race even though he ended it in 16th position.
