Indra Sjafri Calls Four New Names To Enter Indonesia U-20

Indra Sjafri called four new players to enter the TC Indonesia U-20 (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team is undergoing a training camp (TC) to face the closest agenda, the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup and the 2024 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification.

The promotion-relegational system is still being implemented by head coach Indra Sjafri. Most recently, the coach called four names to enter the Garuda Muda Squad TC.

Three of the players came from the U-17 Soeratin Cup which was just finished.

"There are three potential players who I can call into Indonesia U-20. The three of them are players who play in the U-17 Soeratin Cup. There is Muhammad Rizal (Persikopa Pariaman), Chiristian Deo Putra Lambok (Batavia FC), and M Mufdi Iskandar (Persiku Kudus)," said Indra.

In addition, Indra will also call one more player.

"There is one other player, namely Adi Purnama S Suaib from PSIS Semarang who I will also call," said Indra.

As is known, the three players who were named first came from the teams that won, runners-up, and ranked third in the Soeratin U-17 Cup.

DKI Jakarta, represented by Batavia FC, became the champion, West Sumatra (Persikopa Pariaman) as runner-up, and Central Java (Persiku Kudus) as the third rank.

This summons, continued Indra, was the result of a talent search team (scouting) being mobilized by PSSI to monitor to the grassroots.

"PSSI has asked all clubs to form a scouting team so that he can monitor all football activities in Indonesia, wherever they are, from anyone's side," said Indra.

"PSSI is not a player's factory, but clubs as members of PSSI that we support. We hope to find the best players. So, these players are offers from the club," he said.
