JAKARTA - A numerical band from Iowa, Slipknot decided to separate from Jay Weinberg on Sunday, November 5.

Launching Billboard, the news was broadcast through the Slipknot social media account.

"We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for his dedication and enthusiasm over the past ten years," Slipknot wrote in his statement.

"Nothing can replace Joey Jordison's original voice, style, or energy. But Jay respects Joey's parts and contributes to the last three albums. And we, the band and fans appreciate it," he continued.

However, until this news was made, Jay Weinberg had not spoken at all about his decision to part with Slipknot.

With their togetherness which has been going on since 2014, Slipknot hopes that the decisions taken will have a good impact on all. They also stated that they would continue without Jay.

"But as usual, Slipknot is determined to continue to grow. This band has decided to make creative decisions and part with Jay. We wish Jay the best and are very excited about what will happen in the future," wrote Slipknot.

For information, Slipknot decided to part with Joey Jordison, drummer before Jay, in December 2013.

However, then Joey later revealed that he left Slipknot for being fired.

The dismissal coincided with Joey's transverse myelitis disease. He claims that his bandmates misinterpreted his medical problems with the problem of substance abuse.

Joey Jordison passed away in 2021, at the age of 46.
