Dozens of musicians who are members of Indonesia Climate, Knowledge, Arts & Music Lab (ICLIM) collaborated on an album titled sonic / panic released by Alarm Records.

Meanwhile, CLIMATEs are a collective musician and artist who cares about climate issues and aims to invite the public to care and mainstream environmental issues and climate change through art and music.

Musicians who are members of the CLIMATE are Iga Massardi, Endah N Rhesa, Navicula, Tony Q Rastafara, Tuan Tigabela, Iksan Skutter, FSTVLST, Made Mawut, Nova Filastine, Gurant Kabudul, Kai Mata, Rhythm Rebals, and Prabumi.

Robi Navicula said that the album release plan was made after musicians took part in a workshop in Bali for a week.

"We, as musicians, can make music, we have thought about this album plan since the workshop," said Robi Navicula during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta on Tuesday, October 24.

Robi said that the release of this album was only the beginning of the seriousness of Indonesian musicians to show the world that the Indonesian music industry also cares about environmental issues.

He said many other musicians had contacted him to join in to voice similar issues.

"This Records is actually disbursed. Yes, we really want it to be organic, we are open to all musicians, as long as they carry ecological issues," said Robi.

"The hope is that every year we can be consistent in producing works that continue to raise these issues," he continued.

Meanwhile, the sonic/panic album consists of 13 songs from 13 musicians with various genres such as hip hop, rock, blues, electronic, reggae pop, to world music.

Topics raised on each song also vary, such as issues of climate crisis, natural degradation, plastic pollution, and calls for collective real action.

The album will be released and can be heard on various digital music platforms on November 4.

Along with the album launch, there will be an IKLIM Fest in the Monkey Forest Ubud parking area, Bali. Almost all musicians involved in the sonic/panic album will be present at this event to jointly voice their concern for the earth and the environment.
