JAKARTA - The 2023 EXPO Inabuyer EV Exhibition has officially started. The three-day event is not only a stage for electric motorcycles and conversion motors, but also conventional four-wheeled vehicles to switch Electric Vehicles completely.

One that caught the attention of a Toyota Avanza which was converted into an EV. It was PT Percik Daya Nusantara who initiated this plan to create a clean environmental ecosystem.

Putu Vindy Kurniawan, as Director of PT Percik Daya Nusantara, to make it happen, his party collaborated with a number of parties in developing it, some of which were SMK Center for Student Parks and Indo Motor EVs (IMEV).

"We collaborated with Central Vocational High School students to test their durability and also several electric vehicle activists," Putu told VOI, at the inauguration of the exhibition in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 28.

Putu added that this modified model is an Avanza facelift unit issued in 2010. Meanwhile, the electric motor planted in this vehicle is said to have up to 20 kW of power or around 26.8 dk.

"This is the facelift 2010 Avanza version, we use a 10 kW electric motor to a peak of 20 kW," Putu continued.

For the core power, the battery used has a capacity of up to 15 kWh or can reach up to 150 km of range and reaches a maximum speed of up to 80 km/hour.

Putu explained that the conversion of electric cars such as Avanza can reach two weeks if all the components needed are ready but also depending on the condition of the used vehicle.

"If all components are ready, this estimate is completed within two weeks, depending on the condition of the used vehicle," Putu explained.

However, he said that this vehicle was not yet for mass sale. This is because the Avanza EV has to go through various processes to pass the roadworthiness of the Minister of Transportation.

"To be able to pass well, of course, all components must be according to standards. After that, we can take care of Vehicle Registration Certificates (STNK) and Motor Vehicle Owner's Book (PPKB)," said Putu.
