JAKARTA - A number of K-pop stars will shock music fans with their new songs and albums in February 2023, from BSS, Key SHINee, to The Boyz.

Quoted from The Korea Times, Monday, BSS will release a new song titled Second Wind on February 6. According to Pledis Entertainment, this song refers to the meaning of the second breath or shows a new spirit of vitality.

"For the upcoming song, BSS will turn themselves into a troop filled with enthusiasm and bring laughter and energy to people, helping them to get a second breath," Pledis said.

BSS is a sub-unit of the SEVENTEEN group, with hang names taken from the initials Boo Seung-kwan, Lee Seok-min, also known as DK, and Kwon Soon-young, also known as Hoshi. This group debuted in 2018 through the single Just Do It.

Furthermore, on February 13, Key is ready to release his second repackaged album titled Killer which will be fronted by the main single of the same title.

In addition to the song Killer, the album will include two other new songs, namely Heartless and Easy. The album also contains 11 songs from Key's second solo studio album, Gasoline, which was released last August.

Some of the songs included in Key's new album include Villain, Guilly Pleasure, and Burn. Gasoline's own song once ranked first on iTunes Top Album Chart in 24 regions after its release.

"Killer will highlight Key's diverse musical style. Its release will mark the beginning of its various activities this year," said SM Entertainment.

The 31-year-old singer also appeared in several entertainment programs, one of which was the "I Love Alone" program broadcast by MBC.

Key, whose real name is Kim Ki-bum, debuted SHINee in 2008 and made his solo debut in 2018 through the single Forever Yours.

Finally, there is The Boyz who will launch their eighth mini album through the platform streaming on February 27, according to the agency IST Entertainment.

The agency representing The Boyz has not disclosed the EP title. Even so, according to a leak from the agency, this K-pop group will showcase their growth in music.

"This time, the singers will present music and performances with higher quality," said IST Entertainment.

It took about six months for the group of 11 people to return with a new EP, after launching their seventh mini album.

The Boyz itself exploded in the K-pop industry with EP The First in 2017 and has released a series of hits including Reveal (2020).
