JAKARTA - Papuan mothers in Timika, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province every year before Lebaran, prepare ketupat woven for regular subscriptions who regularly order every year.

Central Market Vendor Mama Maria told Antara in Timika, Tuesday, that she already has a special buyer who has still subscribed to the ketupat woven.

"Five years ago, Mama had this subscription, Bugis people, she ordered 200 new friends," he said.

According to Mama Maria, since the last five years she has regularly delivered ketupat to her customers in a fairly large number. This year he got orders of 500 pieces.

Central Market Trader Timika Mina explained that she regularly sells ketupat anyan and banana leaves before the sheet.

"We always sell this every year because many orders, if we sell it, we always run out, especially one day before Eid, we only come and take it for the message from yesterday," he said.

Central Market Trader Timika Neti added that the moment of Eid is always awaited, because he will get additional income outside of his daily merchandise.

"Every day, Mama sells vegetables and sweet potatoes, when it's near Eid like this, we sign ketupat because many Muslim brothers are looking for their holiday preparations," he said.
