Head Of Authority: IKN Will Be The Regional Government This Year

JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono said his party would carry out the function of organizing a special regional government (Pemdasus) starting this year.

"This year Nusantara will carry out the function of organizing a special regional government," said Bambang at the National Capital Coordination Meeting of the Archipelago at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.

Bambang said that his party was often equated with the Batam Authority. In fact, he said, this was very different. Even so, he has not mentioned the difference in question.

"We are often projected to be the same as the Batam Authority. Yes, that is certainly very different," he said.

Therefore, Bambang emphasized that the local government will be carried out by his party in 2024.

He also asked for support from all parties.

"So, this year we will become a regional government. For that, we ask for support from ministries and institutions as well as local governments to always cooperate with us at OIKN," said Bambang.

"Through strong synergy and collaboration, we can combine resource expertise and experience from various sectors to create holistic and sustainability solutions for the smooth running of local governments specifically for the capital city of the archipelago," he added.
