PLN Guarantees Smooth Electricity Supply During Fasting To Eid Al-Fitr In Palu

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) guarantees the availability of electricity supply smoothly. Especially during fasting until Eid al-Fitr.

PLN of the Customer Implementation Service Unit (UP3) Palu, Central Sulawesi stated that the reliability of electricity supply is currently supported by an increase of 515 MW produced by Steam Power Plant (PLTU) owned by PT Poso Energy to overcome the peak load of electricity use by consumers.

"We are committed to maintaining the reliability of electricity supply during Ramadan as a form of support for organizing religious holidays," said PLN UP3 Palu Manager Yanuar quoting Antara. In order to maintain supply resilience, PLN has been maintaining electricity networks in the Palu City area and its surroundings. "Energy has become the basic need of the community, so we must ensure that all electricity networks are in good condition," he said.

The supply of electricity in Palu City and its surroundings fully relies on energy from PLTU Sulawena Poso, as a whole the energy supply for normal load usage is 350 to 400 MW every day.Assistant Manager of PLN UP3 Palu Network Section Nasrullah stated that even if there was a power outage at the fasting moment, it was due to disturbances beyond predictions. the cause could be affected by the impact of hydrometeorological disasters, even so that his party continued to be on standby so that when there was a rapid disturbance, we would still calculate the emergency conditions and our officers were always ready to handle disturbances in the field," he said.
