JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) predicts as many as 905,392 vehicles will leave the Jabotabek area during the momentum of the 2024 Chinese New Year and Isra Mikraj holidays.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana explained, the increase in vehicle volume is estimated to occur in the period H-1 Isra Miraj 2024 to D+2 Chinese New Year 2024 or on February 7, 2024 to February 12, 2024, which jumped to 6.3 percent compared to normal traffic (traffic).

"This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flow from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung).

- Bandung direction

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road is predicted to increase to 233,287 vehicles or 20 percent of normal traffic.

Meanwhile, cumulatively, the total traffic leaving Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java and Bandung through the two GT increased by 424,918 vehicles or 18.8 percent from normal traffic.

- West (Merak) direction

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road with 260,403 vehicles or 6.2 percent lower than normal traffic.

- South (Puncak) direction

The number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road increased by 220,071 vehicles or 1.8 percent from normal traffic.
