BPS Records 2023 Inflation to Reach 2.61 Percent

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded inflation in 2023 at 2.61 percent year on year (yoy). This figure is still within Bank Indonesia's (BI) target range of 2 percent (yoy) to 4 percent (yoy).

Acting Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar revealed that the increase in inflation at the end of 2023 was due to an increase shown by the increase in all prices for food, beverage, and tobacco expenditure groups.

Meanwhile, the month to month (mom) inflation rate for December 2023 is 0.41 percent. This figure is higher compared to inflation in November 2023 which was 0.38 percent (mom).

The inflation rate year to date (ytd) in December 2023 is 2.61 percent.
